In early February, Freshman Isabella Smith competed in show-jumping at the Desert International Horsepark in Thermal, CA, and won the 1.35m Junior/Amateur Classic with her mare, Quinka. She also placed 5^th in the 1.20m Open Classic on her other horse, Gigi.

Isabella trains and competes year-round. She represented Zone 9 in the North American Youth Championships in Traverse City, Michigan, over the summer, earning Team Bronze, and competed in her first Grand Prix at the Oregon High Desert Classics in Bend in July, where she placed 2^nd.

Isabella is spending mod break in Thermal for another week of competition with Quinka, Gigi and her barn team.
